TAUG 2007 Schedule: CAE credit Sessions with CAE Credit

The CAE (Certified Association Executive) designation is the credential granted by ASAE and The Center for Association Leadership to an association executive that has met the mandated eligibility requirements and who has passed the CAE exam administered by ASAE and The Center. In order to maintain this credential, an association executive with the CAE designation must earn a minimum of 40 hours of continuing education/professional development every three years and must submit a CAE Renewal Report Form with a record of all pertinent educational endeavors.

The educational sessions at TAUG 2007 have been evaluated by the staff at ASAE and the Center. The sessions marked with the “CAE credit” icon have been identified acceptable educational programming and instruction for the purposes of maintaining the CAE credential.

Monday, April 23

Michael Gelb, the TAUG 2006 key note speaker, is back due to the acclaim for his talk in Savannah. Gelb is an internationally renowned author, speaker, and consultant. In this dynamic, highly-engaging speech, Gelb will show you how to stay centered and choose the most creative response to a variety of challenging situations. You will develop new and effective ways of perceiving, understanding, and responding to conflict to create win/win outcomes.
The highlight of the program will be a demonstration of the martial art of Aikido ("the way of harmonious energy"), including audience participation. This unique approach to conflict management will then be applied to specific business issues related to negotiation, inter-personal problem-solving, and leadership.
